It had been two days since she left Baldur's Gate, and already she was tired of the countryside. She stared at the sky, clouds shifting across the blue expanse like molasses on the kitchen floor. Gwen's left eye twitched, and she banged the back of her head against the wagon she lay in. How much longer do I have to deal with this? The scenery had gotten old after the first six hours of travel. Trees all look the same after the 900th oak, and fields were basically just empty space.
I just want to be back in the kitchens, Gwen thought. She missed the chaos. Out here she was just... bored.
Maybe it would get more exciting when she got to Greenest.
